Job summary

Ivanhoe Grammar School is seeking a qualified Teacher Librarian for a 0.6 FTE ongoing position at the Ridgeway Campus in Ivanhoe. You will collaborate with teachers and the library team to foster reading, research and digital information skills for Years 7–12.

Reporting to the Head of Library Services, you will deliver engaging programs, support curriculum delivery and promote inclusive, evidence-based learning while contributing to library initiatives.

Qualifications

• Appropriate Teacher Librarianship qualifications, with current VIT registration and eligibility for ALIA membership.
• Experience working in a contemporary school library or learning environment.
• Extensive knowledge of young adult literature and a passion for promoting a culture of reading.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with students, staff and parents.
• Strong capability in digital research tools and library technologies, including the use of platforms such as Accessit, LibGuides or similar.
• A demonstrated commitment to child safety, inclusion and student wellbeing, aligned with Ivanhoe Grammar School's values.
