Job summary

Trinity Grammar School in Melbourne’s inner-east invites applications for a part-time Teacher Librarian (0.9 FTE) to join the Senior School Library Services team. You will inspire a love of reading, lead information literacy initiatives and partner with staff to deliver rich, research-driven learning experiences for Years 7–12.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher with current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Qualifications in teacher librarianship (ALIA) or equivalent credentials.
Demonstrated experience in secondary education (Years 7–12) with a strong understanding of curriculum and information literacy.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver research-based units of work.
Promote literacy, information literacy and digital literacy across the school.
Foster a love of reading and inquiry among students and staff.
Create an engaging and inclusive library environment.
Develop and maintain a relevant and accessible collection of resources.
Contribute to library policy development and strategic initiatives.
Support students’ academic and pastoral development.
