Job summary

The Sydney Roosters are seeking a dedicated risk management professional for a 12-month fixed-term, part-time role (2 days per week) to embed our Enterprise Risk Management Framework and risk governance processes. You will liaise with risk owners, the Risk Committee and external auditors to lift risk maturity.

Key duties include administering the risk register, identifying emerging risks across football and operations, and delivering dashboards for governance committees.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk/compliance/internal audit/governance roles in multi-entity or sporting orgs.
• Knowledge of ERMF, risk registers and risk appetite statements.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms (DRATA or equivalent).
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills; attention to controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and embed the ERMF across entities.
• Administer the risk register: identification, assessment, treatment and reporting.
• Identify and assess emerging risks across football, commercial and community ops.
• Monitor compliance with the Risk Appetite Statement and tolerance thresholds.
• Coordinate use of DRATA GRC platform for compliance monitoring.
• Lead end-to-end process mapping across activities, workflows and controls.
• Test controls, track issues and drive remediation with risk owners.
• Prepare risk dashboards, ratings and briefing papers for Risk Committee, Board and BDO.
