Job summary

The Easts Group is seeking a dedicated risk professional to embed its Enterprise Risk Management Framework and risk governance across its multi‑entity operations. You will act as the central risk contact, coordinating with the Risk Committee, risk owners and external auditors to lift risk maturity.

Duties include managing the risk register, identifying emerging risks across sports, commercial and community areas, and producing dashboards for the Risk Committee and Board.

Qualifications

• Experience in a risk, compliance, internal audit or governance role within a multi-entity or sporting organisation.
• Working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, risk registers and risk appetite statements.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms (DRATA or equivalent) for compliance monitoring and reporting.

• Maintain and embed the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) across both entities.
• Administer the risk register: identification, assessment, treatment and reporting.
• Proactively identify and assess emerging risks across football, commercial and community operations.
• Monitor compliance with the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and tolerance thresholds.
• Coordinate use of the DRATA GRC platform for compliance monitoring.
• Lead end to end process mapping across the Group’s activities, workflows and control points.
• Test controls, track issues and drive remediation with risk owners.
• Prepare risk dashboards, ratings and briefing papers for the Risk Committee, Board and BDO.

The Easts Group and Sydney Roosters are closely connected organisations with a shared history in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Easts Group is a hospitality and community organisation operating a number of licensed club venues across Greater Sydney, including Easts Bondi Junction, Kingswood Sports Club, Berkeley Sports Club and Waverley Greens. Its operations include food and beverage, gaming, entertainment, events and member services. The Sydney Roosters are a professional rugby league club competing in the NRL, with a long-standing reputation for excellence on and off the field.

Together, both organisations support sport, community engagement and high-performance workplaces.

About the role

This new fixed term role provides dedicated, ongoing risk management support to embed the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite Statement and risk register into day to day operations. You’ll be the Group’s central point of contact on risk matters, working closely with the Risk Committee, risk owners and the external auditors to lift the Group’s risk maturity.

About you

• Experience in a risk, compliance, internal audit or governance role, ideally within a multi-entity or membership/sporting organisation.
• Working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, risk registers and risk appetite statements.
• Familiarity with GRC platforms (DRATA or equivalent) for compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills, with attention to controls and dependencies.
• Confident stakeholder engagement across operational, executive and Board levels.
• Sound analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data driven reporting.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in risk management, compliance, law, business, finance or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Base Salary range: $60,000-$70,000 p.a. (for 2 days per week)
