Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a part-time Reservations Agent to handle inquiries via phone, fax and email and convert to sales. You’ll work across InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach and Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point, collaborating with Sales, Front Office and Guest Services to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.

The role requires 6–12 months hotel reservations/front office experience, Opera Cloud proficiency, strong English and stakeholder management, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months Hotel Front Office and/or Reservations experience.
• Proficiency in Opera Cloud or similar Reservations Systems; and integrated POS and channel management systems is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English; bilingual or multilingual would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with departments on groups/projects.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with reservation enquiries from all channels, while identifying opportunities to upsell and maximise revenue.
• Ensure efficiency and accuracy in all personalised guest interactions, specifically acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Meet targets for converting sales.
• Assist with the management of internal reservations systems to ensure guest experience is maximised and yield management opportunities are leveraged.
• Work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing, Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a seamless arrival experience.
• Manage a range of guests and clientele such as corporate, groups, travel agents and leisure.
