Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a part-time Reservations Agent to handle inquiries via phone, email and fax, converting opportunities into sales and supporting two properties in a cluster arrangement with Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Front Office to ensure seamless guest experiences, emphasising loyalty member recognition and upsell opportunities while maintaining high accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted, long term work rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).
• Flexibility to work at least two days per week, including Saturdays twice a month.
• 6–12 months Front Office and/or Reservations experience.
• Qualifications in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.
• Proficiency in Opera Cloud or similar Reservations Systems; integrated POS and channel management systems highly regarded.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English fluency.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with reservation inquiries from phone, fax or email.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and maximise revenue.
• Ensure accurate, personalised guest interactions and acknowledge loyalty members.
• Meet targets for converting sales and reservations.
• Support front of house operations and related administrative procedures.
• Handle reservations, changes and cancellations promptly and efficiently.
• Manage internal reservations systems to maximise guest experience and yield.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping and F&B.
• Serve ranges of guests: corporate, groups, travel agents and leisure.
