Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a guest-focused Club InterContinental team member to deliver elevated Food & Beverage service in the Club InterContinental lounge. In this role you will greet guests, set up the club lounge, deliver high-standard service, and ensure a pristine, safe working environment.

Weekend availability and NSW RSA certification are required; sponsorship is not offered. On-the-job training, flexible hours, career development, and global hotel discount programs

• Able to stand for long periods and assist with light lifting

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding hospitality at all times, greeting and seating guests promptly with courtesy and professionalism.
• Deliver Food and Beverage service of high standard.
• Set-up the daily buffet in the Club Lounge and prepare to serve drinks.
• Guarantee a safe and clean working environment in the Club Lounge and back office.
• Perform opening/closing duties (reorder, restock, clean).
• Deliver amenities to guest rooms and ensure high quality presentation.
• Build product knowledge to upsell and inform guests.
• Handle guest information, billing and security professionally.
• Keep the Club tidy at all touchpoints.

What's the job?

Provide efficient and comprehensive service of food and beverages to guests in Club InterContinental in True Hospitality style and to the Club InterContinental standard. Be responsible for all aspects of service including set-up, food service, making and serving beverages, set-up and pack down of functions and equipment.

Your day to day

• Deliver outstanding hospitality at all times, greeting and seating guests promptly with courtesy and professionalism. Recognise IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.

• Deliver Food and Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental expectations and procedures.

• Set-up the daily buffet in the Club Lounge, make sure that the Club Lounge is neat and tidy and prepare to serve drinks to our guests

• Guarantee a safe and clean working environment within the Club Lounge as well as in your back office

• Perform department/outlet opening or closing duties as required (Reorder, restock, clean)

• Be responsible for delivering the amenities to the guest rooms and make sure that the quality and presentation is of high standard.

• Actively build product knowledge to up-sell products and give specific information to the guest when asked.

• Ensure guest information, billing and security issues are handled professionally.

• Ensure the Club is always kept clean, neat and tidy at every touch point.

What we need from you

• Valid work rights in Australiaare essential - kind reminder that sponsorship is not available for this role (valid WHV and Student Visas are welcome)

• Applicants must be available for weekend shifts including Friday's, Saturday's and Sundays

• Experience in luxury, guest focused customer service

• A great communicator, you will be warm, welcoming and easy to talk towith genuine desire to connect with people, whether it's guests or your team members.

• Ability to be on your feet most of the day

• Ability to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) when required

• Must hold NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
