Laverty Pathology in Canberra is seeking a Pathology Collector for permanent part-time work (28 hours per week) at Duntroon (ADF site) and Belconnen collection centre. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, delivering a welcoming, professional experience to every patient while ensuring samples are handled accurately and efficiently for timely diagnosis.

The role includes maintaining records, following procedures, and supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential
• A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site
