Job summary

St John of God Ballarat Hospital in Ballarat VIC invites applications for a Management and Reporting Accountant. Based at Ballarat, you will support the financial performance of both Ballarat and Warrnambool Hospitals, delivering accurate, timely management accounting and KPI reporting to support strategic decision-making.

You will lead forecasts, budgets and trend analyses, partner with senior leaders and Shared Services, and build financial capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Healthcare sector experience is advantageous.
• Progress towards CA or CPA is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Analyse key financial and operational metrics to provide insights.
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and budgets to support planning.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and KPI analysis.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and Shared Services for finance support.
• Drive month-end processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build financial capability through stakeholder training and support.
