Job summary

St John of God Ballarat Hospital is seeking a Management and Reporting Accountant to support financial performance across Ballarat and Warrnambool Hospitals. Based in Ballarat, you will deliver management accounting, KPI insights and timely reporting for informed decision-making.

You will develop forecasts, budgets and financial models, working with leadership and Shared Services to drive improvements and high-quality financial support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance or Commerce or related discipline.
• Strong accounting/finance knowledge with month-end reporting experience.
• Healthcare experience and progress towards CA/CPA are desirable.
• Excellent Excel/Oracle/PowerPoint skills and ability to present financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial and operational metrics to support performance.
• Develop forecasts, models, and projections for planning.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and KPI analyses.
• Partner with hospital leaders to understand drivers and support strategy.
• Contribute to budgeting, month-end processes and continuous improvement.
