Job summary

Oaks Perth Hotel is seeking two Part-Time Cooks to join our kitchen team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage and support day-to-day kitchen operations. Prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes, and ensure meals are presented well.

Maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance while working across breakfast and dinner shifts on a rotating roster. Minimum 12 months' kitchen experience, knowledge of cooking procedures, strong communication, and a flexible attitude

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in a cook/kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Positive, proactive attitude for hospitality.
• Flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking and plating.
• Cook dishes per menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure presentation is excellent before service.
• Maintain storage, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep kitchen clean, organised and WHS compliant.
• Support team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday including breakfasts and dinners.
