Minor Hotels’ Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is seeking a passionate Cook to join the kitchen on a casual basis. You will prepare ingredients, cook dishes to menu standards, and ensure high-quality plate presentation for guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety, keeping the kitchen organized, and supporting daily operations. Shifts include breakfast, with a rotating roster and immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with WHS requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
