Job summary

Camberwell Medical Group is seeking an experienced GP Clinic Practice Manager to join our healthcare management team in Camberwell, VIC. This part-time role focuses on efficient day-to-day operations, staff management, compliance, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include overseeing clinic operations, staff recruitment and scheduling, privacy and regulatory compliance, financial management, and improving patient experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a practice manager or similar healthcare management role.
• Strong knowledge of general practice operations, healthcare compliance and privacy requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
• Proficiency with practice management software and electronic health record systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound financial management and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare and healthcare billing practices is advantageous.
• Certification in practice management or healthcare administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of the general practice clinic.
• Managing clinic staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Ensuring compliance with healthcare legislation, regulations and accreditation standards.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and managing confidential medical information in accordance with privacy laws.
• Managing clinic finances, budgeting, invoicing and banking procedures.
• Coordinating with GPs and clinical staff to optimise clinic workflows and patient scheduling.
• Implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Managing clinic facilities, equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and professional environment.
• Handling patient enquiries, complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Maintaining comprehensive administrative records and reporting requirements.
