Job summary

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a Customer & Information Officer to join a multi-skilled team in the Council’s Customer Service Centre, delivering services via call centre and mail room operations in line with standards.

Permanent part-time role (28 hours/week) with pay starting at AUD 42.95 per hour, plus opportunities for training, bonus payments and staff well-being benefits under the EBA and related programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced customer service.
• HSC or equivalent educational background required.
• Ability to use technology to deliver services.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer inquiries via phone and online channels.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
• Maintain name and address register (NAR).
• Assist in training new staff and support engagement initiatives.
• Process customer transactions and provide general admin support.
