This role offers flexible rostering, training opportunities, and a supportive team culture in a not-for-profit aged care environment, with a pro rata salary between $79,000 and $85,000 depending on hours.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial kitchen environments.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices.
• Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals in line with planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are presented well and served on time.
• Maintain food safety and infection control standards.
• Assist with special dietary and texture-modified meals.
• Support stock control and minimise food waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
• Work with care team to support resident wellbeing.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.
• Work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required.
