Mareeba Aged Care in Mareeba Gardens QLD is seeking a full-time Cook to join our hospitality team. You will prepare nutritious meals that support residents' health, working with the care team to meet dietary requirements and maintain high-quality presentation.

You will handle food safety, stock control, and have flexibility to cover casual rosters, including weekends. A Food Safety Certificate is preferred, and NDIS worker Screen check may be required.

• Previous cooking experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices.
• A Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.
• A genuine passion for supporting older Australians.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• A valid NDIS worker Screen check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsabilidades

• Ensure meals are presented to a high standard and served on time.
• Maintain food safety and infection control standards.
• Assist with special dietary and texture-modified meal preparation.
• Support stock control and minimise food waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to support resident wellbeing.
• Provide flexible coverage across a casual roster, including weekends and leave relief.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Cook to join the hospitality team at Mareeba Gardens QLD

In this role, you will assist with preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. You'll work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure meals are prepared safely, efficiently and in line with residents' dietary requirements.

As a Full time Cook, you will:

*The successful candidate will receive a base salary between the range of $79,000 - $85,000.
