Job summary

Respect Group Limited is a growing not-for-profit aged care provider across NSW. We are hiring 20 Food Service Assistants for part-time temporary roles at Macksville and Nambucca Heads, NSW.

Positions are 30 hours per week with a March 2027 to September 2027 window, shift-based mornings and afternoons. You will assist with cleaning, food service, and basic kitchen support, while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a food service assistant is preferred.
• Comfort with kitchen hygiene and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in kitchen, dining, and prep areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges, and freezers.
• Ensure kitchen areas meet health and hygiene regulations.
• Handle chemicals and equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Promote workplace safety by identifying hazards and following WHS practices.
• Assist with rubbish disposal.
• Provide support to the Chef and kitchen staff.
• Assist with meal preparation and service.

The Role: We are currently seeking 20 Food Service Assistants to join our teams at: Autumn Lodge - 1-3 Short Street, Macksville NSW 2447 Riverside Gardens - 20 Riverside Drive, Nambucca Heads, NSW 2448

Part-time positions available (30 hours per week). Expected commencement: March 2027 until September 2027. The role is shift based - Morning and Afternoon, with Various start times

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in the kitchen, food preparation areas, and dining areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of pantry, fridges, and freezers.
• Ensure kitchen areas meet current health and hygiene regulations.
• Handle chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Promote workplace safety by identifying hazards and adhering to WHS practices.
• Assist with rubbish disposal.
• Provide support to the Chef and other kitchen staff.
• Assist with meal preparation and service.

Hourly Rates

• $29.98 per hour (unqualified) to $31.36 per hour, depending on experience.

• If required, 3-4 weeks of training will be offered at our Wangaratta Care Community, prior to relocating to this Care Community.
