Qualifications

• Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
• Exemplary communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items within cost margins specified by the hotel.
• Ensure stock rotation and minimise wastage; maintain stock control procedures.
• Keep working areas clean and tidy; wash dishes and ensure equipment is maintained and cleaned.
