Job summary

Hilton Perth Waterfront is seeking a Commis Chef to assist in food preparation under the supervision of senior chefs, delivering high-quality breakfast and dining experiences in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. You will join a supportive team and help deliver memorable guest experiences with accurate plating and hygienic prep.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of full Australian Working rights.
• Based in the Perth Metropolitan Area or willing to relocate.
• Availability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Experience preparing and presenting breakfast items, including eggs and pastries.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook or Trainee in a high-standard hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to remain calm, flexible, reliable and work well under pressure.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures and hygiene standards.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences during breakfast.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality dishes according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Delight our guests by managing guest orders efficiently and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Execute complex recipes, maintain knowledge of menu offerings, and oversee stations.
• Inspect and finalize plates to ensure quality and presentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow proper food handling and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory needs and prepare requisitions for supplies and food items.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness regulations.
