Job summary

Bar Ricci Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join our premium dining kitchen at Main Beach, Gold Coast. This part-time role supports a Head Chef and collaborates with a professional team to deliver exceptional food and presentation.

You will manage your section, maintain high standards, and contribute to menu development while working flexible evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a skilled Demi Chef de Partie.
• Relevant commercial kitchen experience, preferably in premium dining or à la carte restaurants.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation, and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee your designated kitchen section during preparation and service.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Bar Ricci’s recipes, specifications, and premium standards.
• Maintain consistency in flavour, quality, portioning, and presentation.
• Complete daily mise en place and ensure your section is organised and service-ready.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.
• Monitor stock levels, manage ingredients efficiently, and minimise food waste.
• Assist with stock rotation, labelling, storage, and inventory control.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow food safety procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and venue policies.
• Support menu development, seasonal specials, and continuous improvement where appropriate.
• Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen staff as required.
• Maintain a calm, professional, and organised approach during busy service periods.
