Job summary

Point Hotel in Brisbane (KIN Bar & Dining) seeks an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team for a permanent part-time role of 20–24 hours per week with evening shifts Tue–Sat. Casual employment may also be considered.

You will manage your section, deliver high-quality plated dishes, ensure food safety, rotate stock, reduce waste, and support junior staff in a brand-new kitchen under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Ability to manage a section independently during busy service.
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills.
• Sound food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Availability for the evening roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• You will manage your allocated section, prepare and present dishes consistently, and help deliver smooth evening services.
• Preparation, stock rotation, waste reduction, and adherence to food safety standards.
• Support junior team members and maintain high standards during service.
