Job summary

The Plaza Hotel, located at 600 George St in Sydney, NSW, is seeking an experienced Line Cook for a casual/part-time role from 35 per hour. You’ll work across grill, pizza and fryer in a fast-paced kitchen and join a busy team in a CBD venue with good transport access.

We’re looking for someone with 1–2 years line experience, a strong eye for cleanliness and FIFO, and a can-do attitude to help with prep and other duties as needed. Shifts run Thursday and Friday from 12pm to 10pm.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience working the line across all sections (grill, pizza and fryer).
• Reliable, and stays calm and focused under pressure.
• Strong understanding of cleanliness, food hygiene and FIFO.
• Happy to jump into prep and cleaning when it’s quiet.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help with other kitchen duties when needed.

The Plaza Hotel is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. If you know your way around the grill, pizza oven and fryer, and you thrive in a fast-paced service, we’d love to hear from you.

The venue is located on George Street in the CBD with great access to public transport!

About you

• At least 1–2 years’ experience working the line across all sections (grill, pizza and fryer)
