Job summary

Spencer Travel Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our finance team on a part-time basis. Based in Mascot NSW 2020, this role offers you the opportunity to provide essential financial record-keeping and bookkeeping support to our organisation.

As a key member of our accounting function, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day transactions, and supporting the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Xero.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
• Knowledge of GST, tax requirements and general compliance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices and receipts.
• Reconciling bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Preparing financial reports and reconciliation schedules.
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial documentation.
• Supporting the accounts team with ad-hoc financial tasks as required.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
