Job summary

Aussie Painters Network is seeking a dedicated individual to join as a Painting Apprentice in Redcliffe. You will undertake hands-on training, learn to read plans, prepare surfaces, and apply paints and textures across residential and commercial projects.

This paid apprenticeship offers mentoring from experienced painters, a nationally recognised qualification on completion, and clear career pathways within a growing industry.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out measurements and basic calculations
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
• Handling painting and decorating materials
• Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparing surfaces for painting
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers
• Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

ABOUT THE ROLE

As aPainting Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Carryingout measurements and basic calculations
• Readingand interpreting plans and specifications
• Erectingand maintaining trestle and plank systems
• Handlingpainting and decorating materials
• Usingpainting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removingand replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparingsurfaces for painting
• Applyingpaint using brushes and rollers
• Applyingtextured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray
