Aussie Painters Network is hiring Painting Apprentices in Ipswich, Australia to join growing teams and gain hands-on experience with mentoring and ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship.

As an apprentice, you will learn measurements, plan interpretation, surface preparation, and painting techniques while working with qualified painters on a variety of residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship.
• White Card or ability to obtain one.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour.

Responsibilities

• Carry out measurements and basic calculations.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Erect and maintain trestle and plank systems.
• Handle painting and decorating materials.
• Use painting and decorating tools and equipment.
• Remove and replace doors, windows, and components.
• Prepare surfaces for painting.
• Apply paint using brushes and rollers.
• Apply textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As aPainting Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Carryingout measurements and basic calculations
