ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Carryingout measurements and basic calculations
• Readingand interpreting plans and specifications
• Erectingand maintaining trestle and plank systems
• Handlingpainting and decorating materials
• Usingpainting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removingand replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparingsurfaces for painting
• Applyingpaint using brushes and rollers
• Applyingtextured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

Thesuccessful candidate will have:

• Agenuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
• AWhite Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon aspossible
• Physicalfitness and the ability to perform manual labour
• Awillingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Apositive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• Theability to follow instructions and take direction
• Trustworthinessand motivation

Preferred (but not essential):

• Acurrent driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Previouspainting or construction-related work experience
