Snowy Monaro Regional Council in Jindabyne, NSW, invites applicants for a Trainee Water & Wastewater position. You will be paid while you learn, work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III, and receive training and support from experienced Council staff.

No prior water industry experience is required, just a positive attitude and readiness to learn. You will learn how water and wastewater systems operate, assist with maintaining assets, and complete on-the-job training to qualify for

Formación

• Completed Year 10 or Year 12 with RoSA or equivalent.
• Willing to learn and no water industry experience required.
• Current Class C driver licence preferred.
• No water industry experience needed; attitude and willingness to learn are key.

Responsabilidades

• Learn how water and wastewater systems work.
• Help maintain and repair water pipes, meters, reservoirs and pumping stations.
• Assist with building and repairing water mains following plans and safety rules.
• Help maintain wastewater drainage systems.
• Use tools and equipment safely under guidance of experienced team members.
• Work as part of a team and provide helpful service to the community.
• Attend and complete on-the-job training and study for the Certificate III qualification.
• Follow Council procedures, workplace laws and safe work practices.
