Job summary

Boxes To Go, a Melbourne packaging business, is hiring a full-time operator to convert cardboard into finished boxes. You will run box-making machinery, assemble, seal and inspect boxes, and palletise products.

Ideal candidates have warehouse or packaging experience, attention to detail and a safety-conscious approach. A forklift licence (LF) is preferred, with a supportive team and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Operates box-making machinery including digital printing, cutting, creasing, folding and gluing.
• Assembles, folds, glues and tapes boxes by hand.
• Checks boxes for quality, size and finish.
• Stacks, bundles and palletises finished products.
• Loads/unloads stock and moves pallets; forklift licensed if applicable.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows safety procedures.

Job description

You'll be hands-on in the production area, helping turn cardboard into finished boxes that are ready to ship.

Key responsibilities

Operate box-making machinery such as digital printing, cutting, creasing, folding and glueing equipment

Assemble, fold, glue and tape boxes by hand where needed

Check boxes for quality, size and finish

Stack, bundle and palletise finished products

Load and unload stock and move pallets (forklift use if licensed)

Keep your work area clean, tidy and safe

Follow safe work procedures and help meet daily production targets

About you

Reliable, punctual and committed to a full-time day-shift

Comfortable with physical work, including standing for long periods and repetitive lifting

Good attention to detail and pride in your work

A team player who also works well independently

Able to follow safety instructions and learn new machinery

Basic English communication skills

Previous warehouse, manufacturing or packaging experience

Forklift licence (LF)

White Card or other relevant tickets
