Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking an Overnight Public Area Attendant to clean and maintain all public spaces, including the Spa and Food & Beverage outlets, from 11pm to 7am to greet guests with spotless surroundings.

You will work with chemicals safely, report maintenance concerns, and support the Housekeeping Team. English fluency, good fitness, and a friendly, helpful manner are essential. Part-time, onsite training, and staff discounts are offered.

• Monitoring and controlling supplies and amenities to minimise wastage.
• Assisting the wider Housekeeping Team as needed.

Set on the shores of sparkling Coogee Beach, the newly refurbished InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach redefines coastal luxury. The hotel offers 198 elegantly designed rooms and suites, many with uninterrupted ocean views. Guests look forward to an elevated arrival experience, immersive coastal dining celebrating seasonal local produce, and a redefined wellness sanctuary.

As Overnight Public Area Attendant you will work from 11pm to 7am, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas including our Spa and Food & Beverage outlets to ensure they meet the hotel’s standards for cleanliness and presentation. You will make sure our public spaces in the hotel are always fresh and welcoming for our guests.

The responsibilities of this role will include

Performing regular cleaning and sanitising of assigned public areas in line with brand standards.

Keeping cleaning equipment clean and maintained.

Reporting any maintenance concerns

Ensuring equipment and pantries are kept clean and maintained.

Working with a range of chemicals.

Candidates must be 21+ years of age to handle chemical substances safely.

Monitoring and controlling supplies and amenities to minimise wastage.

Assisting the wider Housekeeping Team as needed

What we need from you

Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia are required for this role (kindly be aware that we cannot sponsor for this role).

Availability work at overnight from 11pm to 7am

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, making it easy for guests to approach you with concerns or compliments, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Fluency in English is essential.

The role requires good physical fitness, as you will be on your feet for most of the night and need to bend and kneel frequently.
