Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee restaurant and room service operations, ensuring quality and guest satisfaction while helping achieve departmental revenue goals.

You will supervise the team, uphold brand standards, train staff, and manage health and safety requirements across shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of F&B supervisory experience in a hotel or high-quality outlet.
• Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts, across 7 days a week.
• NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification

Food & Beverage Supervisor | InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is perfectly positioned on Sydney's iconic beachfront, offering 198 elegantly designed rooms and suites, many with uninterrupted views, alongside an ocean-facing infinity pool, luxury cabanas, a vibrant leisure deck and world class dining experiences.

About the Role

As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will supervise the restaurant and room service operations of the hotel to ensure the achievement of established quality and guest service quality standards and departmental revenue and profit goals.

Your day to day

• Supervise the team to deliver Food and Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures
• Maintain high knowledge of InterContinental brand standards and deliver service to match.
• Communicate any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information
• Deliver training sessions daily to team members
• Prepare for service by ensuring the department's grooming is impeccable and in accordance with hotels personal presentation standards, equipment is clean and sorted and stored, glassware is polished etc.
• Assist guests and aid in selling or up selling Hotel services
• Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.

What we need from you

• Unrestricted work rights in Australia (sponsorship is not available)
• Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Food & Beverage supervisory experience in a hotel restaurant or high-quality outlet is required for this position
• Available to work a range of shifts, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, across 7 days a week.
• Experience working in a busy, all-day dining and a la carte restaurant.
• Ability to be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneeling
• Ability to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) when required
• Understanding that weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
• You will know how to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
• As well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you will be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
• Great communication, you will be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
