Job summary

TeamKids is hiring for Casual Educator roles in the Outer Bayside region. The role involves working with children before and after school, with shifts from 7:00–9:00am and 2:30–6:30pm, plus optional holiday blocks.

You’ll join a supportive team at Skye, Carrum and surrounding suburbs, gaining valuable OSHC experience and opportunities for advancement. We value energetic, engaged educators who are passionate about children’s learning and safety.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check relevant to your state (WWCC/WWVP/Blue card/VIT)
• Cert III or Diploma in ACECQA approved course
• Mandatory National Child Safety Training prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Assist with Before and After School Care programs
• Support children aged 5–12 and help them thrive
• Participate in excursions, incursions and themed days
• Be part of a supportive, collaborative team

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a rolewhere no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Skye, Carrum & surrounding suburbs

Shifts available between:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get)

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
