Job summary

TeamKids is hiring Casual Educators for the Inner North region, with shifts in Reservoir, Preston, Brunswick, Ivanhoe and surrounding suburbs. Enjoy flexible shifts, extra pay with the retention payment program, and a fun, engaging workday with children aged 5–12.

As part of TeamKids, you’ll help excite and entertain children before school, after school and during holidays, while gaining valuable OSHC experience and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates with OSHC or before/after school care exposure welcomed.
• Commitment to child safety and well‑being is essential.
• Strong communication with children, parents and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support children in before and after school care programs.

The Role - Casual Educator This is a rolewhere no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Reservoir, Preston, Brunswick, Ivanhoe and surrounding suburbs

Shifts available between:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
