Elme Living is seeking a practical, hands-on all-rounder to support day-to-day stock and operations across our Outlet and Wholesale Showroom in Blackburn. You’ll move and assemble furniture, manage stock transfers, and assist with deliveries while keeping spaces neat and safe.

The role suits someone who enjoys active work, takes initiative, and thrives in a team that values collaboration and flexible tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or stockroom environments.
• Physically active and able to move furniture safely.
• Ability to assemble furniture and use basic tools.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, able to work independently and take initiative.
• Commitment to WHS and safe manual handling.
• ERP/inventory system experience is preferred.
• Forklift licence is advantageous or willingness to obtain one.
• Excel experience would be beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Receive, unpack, move and organise furniture and stock.
• Safely handle bulky products with appropriate equipment.
• Replenish stock and coordinate transfers between spaces.
• Assist with stocktakes and inventory accuracy using ERP.
• Assemble furniture and set up showroom displays.
• Perform minor maintenance and handyman tasks.
• Support showroom changes and merchandising requirements.
• Prepare products for customer collections and deliveries.
• Maintain clean, safe stock and display areas.
• Follow WHS procedures and promote safe practices.

We’re looking for a hands-on, practical and reliable all-rounder to support the day-to-day stock and operational needs of our Outlet and Wholesale Showroom in Blackburn.

If you’re someone who enjoys being active, has a knack for fixing things, takes pride in keeping spaces organised and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, we’d love to hear from you.

No two days will be the same. One day you might be moving and assembling furniture, the next organising stock, setting up displays, assisting with deliveries or tackling general maintenance tasks.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys practical work, takes initiative and likes seeing the results of their efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Receiving, unpacking, moving and organising furniture, homewares and other stock.

• Safely handling and moving larger, heavier and bulky products using appropriate equipment and team lifting where required.

• Replenishing stock and coordinating transfers between the Outlet, Showroom and Warehouse.

• Assisting with stocktakes, inventory accuracy and stock movements using our ERP system.

• Assembling furniture, hanging artwork and setting up showroom and Outlet displays.

• Undertaking minor maintenance, basic repairs and general handyman-style tasks.

• Supporting showroom changes, seasonal collections and merchandising requirements.

• Preparing products for customer collections and assisting with deliveries.

• Maintaining clean, organised, safe and well-presented stock and display areas.

• Following WHS procedures, identifying potential hazards and promoting safe working practices.

• Providing general operational support wherever needed across both spaces.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stock handling, retail stockroom or similar hands-on environment.

• Confidence undertaking physically active work, including safely moving furniture and bulky products.

• Practical skills and an ability to assemble furniture, use basic tools and assist with minor maintenance.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and use initiative.

• A strong focus on workplace health and safety, particularly safe manual handling.

• Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems.

• Experience using an ERP or inventory management system is highly regarded.

• A current forklift licence is an advantage, or a willingness to obtain one.

• Microsoft Excel experience would be beneficial.
