Job summary

Early Settler in Cairns is seeking a hands-on Retail Store Person to support daily operations on the shop floor and in the back warehouse. You’ll assist with order collections, stock movement, and customer service with a smile, in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates are physically capable of lifting and moving furniture, have good computer skills, and enjoy teamwork. This part-time role runs Tue-Sat with a friendly, collaborative team culture and discount benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting warehousing and distribution.
• Good computer skills (email, Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to assist customers and get results.
• Physically capable of lifting/moving furniture daily.

Responsibilities

• Loading weekly trucks and containers with precision.
• Assisting customers with order collections.
• Supporting stock movement for the shop floor.
• Receipting goods into the operating system.
• Assembling furniture with care.
• Upholding OH&S requirements and maintaining a tidy store/warehouse.

Are you a hands-on go-getter who loves being on the move and thrives in a team environment? This is your chance to play a vital role that keeps our store humming - from the shop floor to the back dock!

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Retail Store Person to become the behind-the-scenes hero of our retail team. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll support daily retail operations, help customers collect their orders with a smile, and keep things running smoothly in the back-of-store warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading of weekly trucks and containers with precision and care
• Assisting customers with order collections - making it a seamless experience
• Supporting the retail sales team with stock/product movement for the shop floor
• Accurately receipting of goods into our operating system
• Assembly of furniture with pride and attention to detail
• Responsible for contributing to and upholding all OH&S requirements
• Maintaining good housekeeping techniques and an organized, safe and tidy store and warehouse
• To collaboratively work as part of a team, use your initiative, problem solve and handle a fast paced environment.

• As we are a furniture store, the role involves regular manual handling of products including lifting, carrying and moving items of varying sizes. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing these tasks as part of their daily duties.

Requirements

• Applicants must be a AU citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in Australia and therefore hold a valid visa.
• Roster - Tuesday - Saturday Part time.
