Job summary

Woden Community Service, a long‑standing ACT community organisation, seeks an Assistant Service Director for OSHC at Torrens Primary School. You will help deliver safe, inclusive, high‑quality OSHC services and support day‑to‑day operations, staff supervision and program quality within a busy school‑based environment.

You’ll lead with a focus on child safety, compliance and continuous improvement, mentoring educators and collaborating with families, schools and the wider community to achieve

Qualifications

• Diploma in Education and Care, Children’s Services, or ACECQA-approved qualification.
• Experience in OSHC, school‑age care, or children’s services setting.
• Knowledge of NQF, National Law & Regulations, and My Time, Our Place.
• Current First Aid HLTAID012 with asthma and anaphylaxis training.
• Experience guiding or leading educators and teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Director in day-to-day delivery of high-quality OSHC services.
• Promote child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and regulatory compliance.
• Provide educational leadership aligned with My Time, Our Place and quality improvement.
• Support, mentor and develop educators to foster a high-performing team.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture.
• Assist with staffing, enrolments, rostering and operational needs.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools and community stakeholders.
• Lead operations in the Service Director’s absence.
