Job summary

Calvary OSHC is seeking casual OSHC Educators to deliver caring, engaging activities for Prep to Year 7 students in our Calvary OSHC program. You will join a supportive team under the OSHC Manager to run before school, after school and vacation care shifts.

Ideal candidates hold a positive Working with Children Check and a Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, with current First Aid/CPR and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certification or ability to obtain
• Demonstrated experience working with young children and ability to engage with families

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for OSHC participants under supervision of the OSHC Manager
• Assist in developing and implementing activity programs
• Support children’s learning, play and growth during Before/After School and Vacation programs
• Collaborate with OSHC team to maintain a safe, caring environment

About the role...

We have exciting opportunities for OSHC Educators to join our OSHC Team on a casual basis, with flexible shifts available across Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care programs.

The role of OSHC Educator (Qualified) provides direct care assistance for participants of the Calvary OSHC service. OSHC Educators (Qualified) are responsible for working with the OSHC Manager and other Educators to support the development and implementation of a program of activities and experiences that support children’s learning at the service.

Salary and Benefits...

As an OSHC Educator, you will receive a competitive above-Award hourly rate of $39.17 to $42.49 per hour, based on your qualifications and relevant experience.

What we are looking for?

It this role it is essential that you hold a current positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and aCertificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (in accordance with the National Quality Framework).

You will also have:

• Demonstrated positive experience working with young children.
• Proven ability to work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, parents, and other OSHC Team.
• Satisfactory level of computer literacy with proven capacity in MS Office Suite, and other software/programs in common use for education.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certification or ability to obtain.
• As a Christian College, we seek applicants who actively support our Christian mission - as a preference, our ideal candidate will be able to provide a Pastoral Reference.
