Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland is seeking a passionate OSHC Educator for St Catherine's OSHC in Proserpine. Join a supportive team delivering engaging after-school care and help create safe, inclusive experiences for children.

This casual role offers up to 20 hours per week with split shifts, plus allowances. You will work with families and school community to provide quality care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards/hold an ACECQA approved OSHC qualification such as Education Support, Bachelor of Nursing etc)
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement.
• Keen interest in working within the childcare/education sector

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe and engaging OSHC experiences for children.
• Build strong relationships with children and families in Proserpine.
• Support after-school program activities in collaboration with school staff.

Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, to Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East.

About the position

Working closely with the school community, St Catherine’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides an engaging, interactive, and educational after-school care program that extends each school day.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated OSHC Educator to join our team on a casual basis, commencing as soon as practicable. This position can offer up to 20 hours per week and includes split shifts (plus allowance).

You will be a valued Educator who delivers high-quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children. Each day, our team creates fun, playful, and interactive experiences tailored to the needs and interests of every child. You will play an important role in building strong, lasting relationships with children and their families in Proserpine.

What you’ll need to succeed
