Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) seeks an OSHC Coordinator for Helping Hands Golden Beach to lead a before- and after-school program for children aged 5–12. This permanent, part-time role includes 35 hours weekly with dedicated non-contact admin time.

You will design a vibrant program, manage rosters, compliance and admin while building a positive team culture and partnering with families and the school community.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in OSHC or childcare.
• Relevant qualification completed or in progress per ACECQA guidelines.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check either completed or willing to obtain.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Willing to work across split shifts and maintain rosters.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Educators and oversee a before/after-school program.
• Design and deliver a vibrant, child-centred program with STEM, sport, arts.
• Own rosters, daily operations, compliance, and admin.
• Foster an inclusive team culture and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and stakeholders to grow the service.

Job Description

Helping Hands Golden Beach is seeking aninspiring and motivatedOSHC Coordinatorto join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is apermanent, part-timerole (35 hours per week) working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including5 hours of dedicated non-contact administrative timeto support your success.

Service hours include:

• Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
• Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
• School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:

• Design and lead a vibrant, child-centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
• Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
• Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
• Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.

Qualifications

• Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• Proven experience in a leadership role within OSHC or childcare industry
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
• A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow.
• Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example!
• A team player who inspires others and encourages growth.
• You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
