Job summary

Helping Hands Burpengary is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to lead a team of Educators and oversee an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5–12, shaping culture and driving quality.

This permanent, full-time role features split shifts, dedicated non-contact admin time, and comprehensive support from regional managers. The position offers competitive pay up to $43 per hour plus super, plus retention bonuses in year one.

Qualifications

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA.
  • Experience in OSHC or Childcare leadership.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding.
  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow.
  • Strong communication skills—you'll be leading by example.
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead a vibrant, child-centred program for 5–12 years old.
  • Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration.

Job Description

Helping Hands Burpengary is seeking aninspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you'll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team.

This is a permanent, full-time role working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including 8 hours of dedicated non-contact administrative time to support your success.

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am - 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm - 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am - 6:00pm

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you'll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership:

  • Design and lead a vibrant, child-centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
  • Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you're never doing it alone.
