Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) at our Wantirna OSHC service to lead before and after school care with a focus on delivering high‑quality experiences for children and families. This permanent, part‑time role supports the service director and provides hands-on leadership in a busy after‑school environment.

You will work across split shifts, participate in community events, and help create enriching, safe activities aligned with ACECQA standards.

Qualifications

• Ideally you have previous experience in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.

• Assist with creating and implementing enriching experiences based on the children’s preferences.
• Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
• Play and have FUN with primary school aged children.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Wantirna

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

Before School Care: 7:00 - 9:00am

After School Care: 3:00 - 6:30pm

Total hours: 27.5

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
