Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a part-time Second in Charge (2IC) to lead and support the delivery of high-quality before and after school care at our South Ripley service. You will work under a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in this role.

You will engage with the school community, implement enriching experiences, and ensure compliance with industry regulations while building genuine relationships with children and their families.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification (equivalent or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.
• Mandatory National Child Safety Training before commencing employment.
• Experience in Before/After School Care or education is a plus, but training is available.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: South Ripley

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:
Before School Care: 6:00 - 9:00am
After School Care: 2:15 - 6:30pm
Total hours: 36.25

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
