Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) for its OSHC service in Turramurra. You will lead and support high-quality care, engage with the school community, and create enriching experiences for primary school children before and after school.

The role offers leadership development and collaborative teamwork within a supportive director-led environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about childcare, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and holds a Diploma aligned with ACECQA standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma qualification as per ACECQA standards (equivalent or working towards).
• Experience in OSHC or early childhood education is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to engage with school communities and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support care programs as Second in Charge (2IC) in OSHC.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Turramurra

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday

Before school hours: 7.00am - 9.00am (Monday to Friday)

After school hours: 2.25pm - 6.30pm (Monday to Friday)

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

• Involved: Engage with the school community, attending events, assemblies.
• Innovation: Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program
• Genuine: Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.

• Remarkable: Support with ensuring your program in compliance according to industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
