Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is looking for an OSHC Educator to join the team at Helping Hands Narangba Valley in Queensland. This role is focused on creating fun, engaging experiences for primary school children during their out-of-school hours. We offer flexible shifts, great pay, perks like referral bonuses, and opportunities for growth in your career. No prior experience is necessary as we provide training and support, and we welcome all backgrounds and identities.

Qualifications

  • Genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with aspirations for leadership.
  • Willingness to obtain national police check.
  • Valid Australian work rights required.
  • Completion of National Child Safety Training prior to onboarding.
  • Availability across at least 3 afternoons.

Join our OSHC team at Helping Hands Narangba Valley and help create exciting, engaging, and unforgettable experiences for primary school children. In our OSHC programs, kids are busy building rockets, scoring goals, creating masterpieces, and making new friends. As an OSHC Educator you get the opportunity to be involved.

Pick up shifts across the services open hours:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00am – 9:00am Monday - Friday (Rise then Shine Program)
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 6:00pm Monday - Friday (Stay and Play Program)

Qualifications

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

  • A genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
  • Must have valid Australian work rights.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
  • A relevant qualification in children’s services, or be in the process of completing one (per ACECQA guidelines).
  • Availability across at least 3 afternoons
