Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in the Rockhampton Region is seeking an OSHC Casual Educator I to support primary school children through engaging, safe activities before and after school.

This casual, part‑time role fits around studies or family commitments, offers a split‑shift schedule, leadership development opportunities, and a supportive team focused on child safety and development.

Qualifications

  • Desirable to be working towards or have completed a qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD per ACECQA
  • Must have valid Australian work rights
  • Available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
  • Willing to obtain a national police check (covered by us) and a state Working with Children check

Responsibilities

Gain valuable hands‑on experience with primary school‑aged children while we work around your university timetable, placements, and other commitments.

Pick up shifts across the services open hours:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00am – 9:00am Monday - Friday (Rise then Shine Program)
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 6:00pm Monday - Friday (Stay and Play Program)

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

  • Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
  • Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
  • A genuine love for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
  • Must have valid Australian work rights.
