Junior Adventures Group in Queensland is seeking empathetic team members for OSHC roles at Helping Hands Meridan. You will support primary school children with engaging, safe activities during morning and afternoon shifts, fitting around university timetables or family commitments.

The role offers competitive pay ($33-$47/hour + super), split-shift structure, extra pay for split shifts, and opportunities for leadership growth within JAG, plus family-friendly benefits and health and lifestyle

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule and willingness to work at least 3 afternoon shifts per week.
• Experience or willingness to work with primary school children in OSHC settings.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with a team mindset.

Pick up shifts across the services open hours:

• Morning Shift: 6:00am – 9:00am Monday - Friday (Rise then Shine Program)
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 6:00pm Monday - Friday (Stay and Play Program)

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
