Centacare Early Learning & Care is seeking an Assistant Coordinator for the Outside School Hours Care team at St Joseph's OSHCare, Parramatta Park, QLD. Part-time 30 hours per week, a dedicated leader to mentor staff and ensure a high-quality, play-based program aligned with national standards.

You will collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader, and team to foster a positive learning environment and strong community relations.

Qualifications

• Hold ACECQA approved diploma level or higher qualification or working towards.
• Demonstrated experience in OSHC or early childhood education settings.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Program planning, documentation, and critical reflection skills.
• Strong understanding of My Time, Our Place and NQF.

Responsibilities

• Support Educational Leader with program design and evaluation aligned with My Time, Our Place framework.
• Coach educators to engage in reflection, professional dialogue and ongoing learning.
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practice for all children.
• Build strong relationships with children and families; provide individual support.
• Maintain clear communication with parents, caregivers and educators.

Centacare Early Learning & Care (CELC) isseekingadedicated and enthusiasticAssistant Coordinator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team atSt Joseph's OSHCare, Parramatta Park, in a part-time permanent role of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Educational Leader with program design and evaluationaligned with theMy Time, Our PlaceFramework, ensuring learning experiences are purposeful, child-led, and reflective of the children’s diverse interests and abilities.
• Coach and guide educators, supporting them to engage in critical reflection, professional dialogue, and ongoing learning.
• Promote inclusive and culturally responsive practice, ensuring all children feel valued, respected, and supported toparticipatemeaningfully.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, offering individual support and attention to ensure they feel secure and happy.
• Maintainclear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and educators, addressing concerns and keeping everyone informed about program activities.
• Engage families and the community, building strong relationships that enrich the curriculum and strengthen children’s sense of belonging.
• Monitor and assess children’s learning and wellbeing, documenting their progress through observations, reflections, and feedback.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to foster a positive culture of continuous improvementby supporting the team toidentifygoals, evaluate outcomes, and celebrate achievements.
• Ensure compliancewith the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and the National Quality Standard,maintaininga secure environment for all participants.
• Assist with scheduling, record-keeping, and managing supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will bring:

• An ACECQA approved diploma level or higher qualification or working towards
• Demonstrated experience working in OSHC or early childhood education settings.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership position
• Proven ability in program planning, documentation, and critical reflection.
• Comprehensive understanding of the My Time, Our PlaceFrameworkand the National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Passion for creating engaging, play-based, and developmentallyappropriate experiences.
• Hold a current Blue Card and up-to-date qualifications in First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, and CPR, or be eager to secure them.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
