Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services Ltd (SCECS) in Sydney, NSW, is hiring an Assistant Coordinator. This permanent full-time role operates Monday to Friday with split shifts; term time only but vacation care is available.

You will supervise attendance, safety, and program delivery, and build strong relationships with families and the school community while supporting staff development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards one.
• Experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check is required.
• Mandatory GECCKO national child safety training completed.
• Child protection training certificate and First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the Responsible Person for the service.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive OSHC service for staff and children.
• Manage children’s attendance and bookings to maintain supervision and safety.
• Support the design and implementation of engaging educational programs.
• Build strong relationships with families and the school community.
• Share children’s experiences and achievements with families.
