Job summary

GEODIS in Sydney seeks an Order Management professional to coordinate shipments, manage order data in EDI and Cargowise, and liaise with overseas offices and carriers. The role focuses on KPI-driven performance, exception handling, and proactive communication with customers.

You will develop analytical reports and dashboards to support commercial and operational decisions, while ensuring data integrity and pricing accuracy across systems.

Qualifications

  • Extensive industry knowledge is required.
  • Experience analysing data and identifying trends and improvements.
  • Experience preparing analytical reports and dashboards.
  • Review information quality and KPI-based improvements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and advanced presentation skills.
  • Extensive Cargowise experience and familiarity with EDI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, interpret and coordinate shipment orders within KPIs and shipping windows.
  • Enter and maintain order information in EDI and Cargowise for processing.
  • Monitor orders with overseas offices and agents to identify delays and actions.
  • Prepare shipping instructions and information requirements for overseas teams.
  • Coordinate information with lines, offices, agents, carriers and customers.
  • Analyse shipment exceptions and communicate delays and actions to customers.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and management briefings to support decisions.
  • Review data integrity in EDI, Cargowise and customer systems.
  • Evaluate service improvements against KPIs and report outcomes.
  • Maintain pricing and masterfile information for consistent outcomes.
  • Prepare quotations with KAM approval and support Buyers Consolidations.
  • Investigate constraints and recommend practical actions for shipments.
  • Develop and interpret customer reports for service monitoring and reviews.
  • Monitor container allocations and coordinate with orders and priorities.
  • Manage multiple information and priorities within service timeframes.
  • Participate in customer visits to gather feedback and opportunities.
  • Provide information for QBRs and customer presentations.

We are currently seeking an Order Management to join our team in Sydney.

Your purpose:
  • Gathering and interpreting customer instructions and order information to coordinate shipments within specified KPIs and shipping windows
  • Entering, organising and maintaining order information in EDI and Cargowise to support accurate processing, monitoring and reporting
  • Monitoring order information and obtaining updates from Geodis overseas offices, subsidiaries and agents to identify exceptions, delays and required actions
  • Preparing and communicating accurate shipping instructions and information requirements to Geodis overseas offices and agents
  • Coordinating and validating operational information with shipping lines, overseas Geodis offices and agents, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal and external customers
  • Analysing shipment exceptions and communicating clear information on delays, risks and available actions to customers
  • Analysing customer, order, freight, pricing and service-performance data to identify trends, risks, recurring issues and improvement opportunities
  • Preparing analytical reports, management briefings, dashboards and recommendations to support commercial and operational decisions
  • Reviewing the accuracy, completeness and integrity of information held in EDI, Cargowise and customer systems, investigating discrepancies and recommending corrective action
  • Evaluating implemented service or process improvements against agreed KPIs and reporting outcomes to management
  • Maintaining autorating and shared masterfile information to support consistent and accurate pricing outcomes
  • Reviewing relevant order, freight and pricing information and preparing quotations in conjunction with, and subject to approval by, the KAM
  • Coordinating and maintaining the information required to create and manage Buyers Consolidations
  • Investigating logistical constraints, assessing available information and recommending practical actions to support shipment outcomes
  • Developing, maintaining and interpreting customer reports to support service monitoring and management review
  • Monitoring container allocation information and coordinating allocation requirements against customer orders and shipping priorities
  • Managing multiple information, reporting and coordination priorities within required service timeframes
  • Participating in customer relationship visits where appropriate to gather feedback, clarify information requirements and identify service improvement opportunities
  • Preparing information, analysis and service-performance content for QBRs and other customer presentations
You’ll bring:
  • Extensive industry knowledge is a definite requirement for this role
  • Experience analysing customer, order, freight, pricing or service-performance data and identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Experience preparing analytical reports, dashboards, management briefings and evidence-based recommendations
  • Experience reviewing information quality and evaluating business or service improvements against KPIs
  • High level of expertise in MS office skills
  • Excellent presentation skills – both written and verbal
  • Advanced spreadsheet analysis, reporting and dashboard preparation skills
  • Extensive Cargowise experience
  • Proficiency in reviewing and maintaining information held in EDI, Cargowise and customer systems
