Job summary

GEODIS Sydney is seeking a Transport Supervisor to allocate and schedule fleet across daily operations, coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure on‑time departures and pre‑loading. You will review costs, manage exceptions, and drive continuous improvements in service levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operational experience in transport/supervision.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations and fleet management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and schedule fleet across daily operations to meet collection and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure cargo pre-loading and timely departures.
• Review transport provider costs against rate cards before approving invoices.
• Identify and address service upgrades, charges, waiting time and ancillary fees.
• Monitor turnaround times and implement corrective actions.
• Provide operational support to warehouse functions during peak periods.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and providers on exceptions

Your purpose:

• Allocate and schedule fleet across daily operations to meet collection and delivery requirements, ensuring trucks are assigned and dispatched on time for all dedicated time slots
• Coordinate with the 77G warehouse team to ensure cargo is pre‑loaded and available ahead of scheduled departures, managing cut‑off times and communicating exceptions proactively
• Review and validate all transport provider costs against agreed rate cards prior to approving invoices for posting and payment
• Identify and elevate service upgrades, additional charges, waiting time, and ancillary fees to the relevant customer
• Monitor warehouse and transport turnaround times, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to maintain performance targets
• Provide operational support to warehouse functions as required, acting as a cross‑functional resource during peak periods or disruptions
• Maintain clear communication with customers and transport providers on service exceptions, delays, and cost variations

You'll bring:

• 3+ years operational experience in the industry, preferably with time spent in transport, cartage supervisory and fleet allocation capacity
• Industry knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Experience using Cargo Wise
