Job summary

Eyecentric, a family-owned independent optometry practice in Manuka, ACT, seeks a friendly Reception / Optical Assistant to join the team. The role blends patient care, administration, and optical support, with training provided to develop skills in a supportive environment.

Ideal candidates may come from healthcare, retail, hospitality or customer service, and will enjoy helping create an exceptional patient experience. Optical experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, retail or reception is preferred.
• Optical experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and coordinating appointments and enquiries.
• Assisting with frame styling and eyewear selection.
• Supporting pre-testing and clinical tasks when needed.
• Maintaining patient records and completing administration.
• Contributing to premium frame displays and patient experience.
